Websites and Cookies
What is a Cookie?
A cookie is a very small computer file which is stored on your computer and which contains information sent from a website's server to your computer's website browser software. Cookies may contain a wide range of information about your computer and/or about your web browser and they help webservers to provide faster service by short circuiting the information gathering process and thus provide a better browsing experience.
Why are they important?
Cookies are important because while cookies placed on your computer from reputable websites simply improve your browsing experience with that website, cookies from less reputable websites may compromise your personal information.
What type of Cookies do I use?
My website uses two types of Cookies:
Per session cookies which are used to keep track of you while you navigate the website and
Persistent cookies which enable my website to recognise you if and when you return to it on a subsequent visit
Session cookies are deleted from your computer when you close your browser whereas persistent cookies stay stored on it until either they are deleted specifically or until they reach the expiry date set inside them.
Other websites' Cookies
To analyse the way in which people use my website, I use a tool called Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies to generate statistical and other information using cookies which is used to create reports about how users use the website and Google stores this information. If you are concerned about how Google manages this information, please look at the Google Privacy Policy.
My payment services provider may also send you cookies. To see their Privacy Policy, click here.
Can I stop Cookies altogether?
You can, however you do need to understand that if you do stop cookies you may end up with a very poor browsing experience. To stop cookies you need to go into your browser and change the settings. For Internet Explorer, the process is: Tools - Internet Options - Privacy and then you select 'Block all cookies'. Remember though, however attractive it may seem to block cookies, you will get a much worse experience than if you don't. That is certainly true of my website.

The same Privacy Policy that is applied to the Johnny Bull website is applied in exactly the same way to the other websites controlled by Picturecentric.
